Funding
Funding is available to eligible candidates. Eligible students are:
- UK citizens normally resident in the UK
- permanent UK residents, with settled status in the UK within the meaning of the Immigration Act 1971
- EU citizens ‘ordinarily resident’ in the UK, including EU graduates of UK universities who still live in the UK, or EU graduates of European universities who have subsequently moved to the UK to work for one or more years
International students are not eligible for any form of funding. EU citizens not ordinarily resident in the UK for three years immediately prior to EngD enrolment may be eligible for a fees-only award. The EngD Centre will consider applications from candidates able to arrange their own funding for four years, but is unable to suggest organisations or companies that could provide such funding.
Funded places are limited, and awarded competitively. Selection for funding is by interview at the EngD Centre.
