MSc in system level integration poster day
Students studying for the MSc at the Institute for System Level Integration (iSLI) recently completed their year long study programme and were given the opportunity to display their projects at an MSc poster presentation event on Wednesday 16th September 2009 at the iSLI.
iSLI offers a modular MSc in system level integration designed specifically for graduates in electronic engineering, computer science, physics and other relevant disciplines. Students graduate with a joint degree from iSLI’s partner universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot Watt and Strathclyde.
The project is a critical element in the post-graduate process at iSLI with successful projects enabling students to progress from Diploma level to achieve the full MSc. Undertaken at the end of the MSc year, the projects take around four months to complete. Project topics are selected by students from a a list of academic and industrial sponsored projects covering the field of system level integration.

Students were also given the opportunity to discuss their projects with representatives from the design industry and support organisations at the reception.
Industry support came from Synopsys which awarded MSc student Terence Mpofu with a monetary award for the best project. Terence's project investigated the porting of a real time operating system on a reconfigurable instruction cell based processor.

Sam Tennent, Manager, R&D. Synopsys NE, presents Terence Mpofu with his award.
