International Students
Welcome
iSLI extends a warm welcome to international students. We are delighted to have the opportunity of providing you with first class higher education in a serious but friendly atmosphere, where you will learn from teachers of the highest calibre together with fellow students from all over the world.
iSLI is a partnership of the UK universities of Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt, Glasgow and Strathclyde, with links to Lancaster University and the University of Paisley. Graduates of iSLI's postgraduate programmes are awarded a joint degree of all four partner universities.
The universities are at the forefront of research, with the majority rated as excellent in RAE2001 (5 or 5*). The universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are also members of two international networks of leading research intensive universities, Universitas 21 and The Russell Group.
Over the past five years, students from Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Taiwan have studied at iSLI. EU students have come from Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy and Spain. This wide geographic diversity creates a lively international environment in which to study.
We hope your time with us will be a happy and memorable one, and will lead to a fulfilling and successful career path.
