Programme of Study
Students must gain a total of 180 credits to be awarded the MSc in System Level Integration. The course is modular, with credits awarded for each successfully completed module. Students must accumulate 120 credits of taught material from a mix of compulsory and optional modules. The final 60 credits are awarded for the successful completion of a project addressing an industrially relevant problem. The project can be and may be sponsored by one of iSLI's industrial partners. Students who acquire 120 credits and complete the taught modules but are unable to conduct a project are awarded a postgraduate diploma.
The MSc programme can be taken as a full-time or part-time student. Full-time students have a nine month taught period followed by three months of project work. All teaching is carried out at the Institute for System Level Integration. The part-time MSc allows credits to be accumulated for up to six years, allowing students to balance commitment on the course with job priorities. Students can visit the Institute on a half-day per week basis or complete modules via distance learning.
